Roller banners as the name suggests are banners that can be rolled up and down. These are most flexible type of banners as they are light and portable and can be hung from anywhere one prefers. Usually roller banners have their own roller banner stands which are usually floor stands that can be placed anywhere. The roller banner stands usually have square or circular base to lend additional stability to the roller banners. Roller banners could be stretch banners where the dimensions vary between 200 to 250 cms on the length side and 80-100 cm on the width side. Other types of roller banners include genie and barracuda banners that use PVC solvent material to create the graphics on the banner. The resolution is around 700 dpi for the roller banners. Roller banners can also be double sided where the printing is done on both the sides. These roller banners are slightly more expensive costing up to 200 dollars if made of the standard size. Roller banners come in other more expensive varieties where the banner is thin but at the same time uses graphic printing on a stop light material. The thin banner ensures that it is not too heavy to be rolled down or stretched on a roller banner stand. The stop light material ensures that light doesn’t shine through the back of the roller banner. Often the printing, letters and colors of the roller banner are not visible at night when there is a light source on the back of the banner. Stop light material is also helpful for a double sided banner, where light on either side doesn’t affect the graphic printing on the roller banner. Some of these roller banners also have matt laminations to ensure that the banners have a glossy finish. Roller banners can also be of expensive varieties for the professional look. The axis type roller banners have a chrome finish, which makes them look very attractive and shiny in the night lights. Other types of expensive roller banners include deluxe panels that can be used as pop up displays. Roller banners can also be used as graphic design walls in promotional events and fairs which need the banners to be put up quickly and then rolled up and used elsewhere. Some of the roller banners come with a locking type central pole using which the height of the stand can be varied depending on what length of the roller banner needs to be used. The metallic base and frame could be made of aluminum, plastic or even the eco-friendly bamboo. Quick change roller banners are the most popular roller banners used recently. A single roller banner stand can be used with a variety of roller banners by simply changing the cassette which varies the graphic print and display on the banner. Usually for the sake of advertising and promoting a product one maintains a library of cassettes that can be quickly used to change the display without much fuss on the same roller banner stand to save time.
